THE PLACENCIA CONCIERGE.

The Burger Joint Placencia was an idea that came about during a family meeting when we were planning to move home to Placencia, Belize. We wanted to open a food business that no one else was doing....that was a toughie. We had just finished a dinner which featured my delicious home made burgers and as we sat around commenting on how great the burgers were....the idea was clear. We had to share these delicious burgers with others!!

Placencia Budget Rooms is our second foray into the hotel business. Back in the mid 1990's, we had opened Estelle's Hotel. Similar to Placencia Budget Rooms, it had 4 private rooms and a 1 bedroom Apartment. That building was destroyed by Hurricane Iris, a Category 4 storm, in early October of 2001.

In 2019 we realized that there was a need for a "Budget" Hotel, but it needed to have all the amenities of a regular room. We found that guests wanted a room with a Private Bathroom, Air Conditioning,TV, etc. but it still needed to be affordable. In other words, Luxury....but on a Budget. With that in mind, we converted the lower flat of our home and Placencia Budget Rooms was born!

We have 4 rooms in total, each with only 1 bed to accommodate 2 guests to a room. All of our rooms have a private bathroom with Hot & Cold shower, Air Conditioning, Ceiling Fans, Smart TV, WiFi, and sooo much more. Two of our rooms have a Double Bed and Two have a Queen Bed. One of our rooms is actually a Studio Apartment with a kitchenette that has a small refrigerator, Microwave Oven, Coffee Maker, as well as a kitchen sink with ample countertop space and storage.
